Our crowd-funding project activities focuses on improving student education by the use of crowd funding for products developed by students and faculty. Working on these product concepts give them experience with sales and marketing communications. Those that are successfully funded provide experience with product development, similar to the Kickstarter and Indiegogo model, but tailored to the HiTechEdVentures
program. Similar to the Girl Scout Cookie model, the products developed may not be the least expensive solution, but they provide real experience and, whenever possible, the bulk of the work is done within the local economy.
